    Well I have reached sixty days of the fitness challenge. I did pretty well, I had a hard time being good the last 15 days. I definently fell off the wagon a couple of times, but I always got back on.
    So in total I lost 24 pounds. All these pounds were body fat. I lost some lean body mass at the beginning but was able to gain it back. I decreased by body fat by 5%.
    I am very happy with my results. I am going to keep following the program and keep my membership to the website. I have 20 more pounds to lose by my wedding on April 26th to reach my main goal I was shooting for. I will keep every one posted.

    David,
    When I started and pretty much through the whole 60 days I walk 2-3 miles every morning and then do the Weight Loss workout in the evening. This has worked great for me. I continue to do the weight loss workouts. When I first started they were difficult but now I am going to add resistance. I do add some exercises to alot of the workouts. I add exercises that target areas that I want to work on like my core strength. I also follow the eating program as much as I can. for breakfast I usually eat a whole grain breakfast with added berries and flax, then a smoothie for lunch and a sensible meal for dinner. I then usually have a snack or two thru out the day. I am very happy with my results. I just finished my sixty days and am going to continue following the program. I hope this makes sense, let me know if I can help in any other way.

  • Phil's 45 Day Update

    Today is my 45th day and I thought I would do another post of my progress. In total I have lost 24 pounds. According to the online personal stat calculator I have lost about 3% body fat and 6 pounds of lean body mass. I am trying to increase my intake of protein to see if it will help me not lose the lean body mass. Ultimately I know I am getting stronger, adding muscle and losing weight and that is what I am concerned with. I also need to consider I got sick between this post and my 30 day post and lost about 5 days of working out.

    I am not receiving the newsletters via email and I am not able to access them thru the archives under the settings page. I was able to read the first few lines of the latest one and it appears there is a coupon code for ordering equipement. I would appreciate being told how to get to these newsletters or atleast given the coupon code because I would like to order the power wheel. Thank you for your help.

  • Soy Protein?

    Can anyone give me some insight as to if too much soy protein is not good for men? I am trying to increase my protein intake and bought some soy protein powder and I drink soy milk. I don't want to use too much soy if it is not all that good for me. I also use hemp protein powder but thought I would mix up my types of plant based protein. Any insight would be appreciated.

    Thanks for all the encouragement and advice I really appreciate it.
    I got my lean body weight from the personal stats part of this web page. I am not too worried about it but just wanted to check. I am going to add more protein and see what happens. I will recheck my progress at 45 days and see where I stand and post. Thanks again everyone.

    Thursday was my 30 day mark of participating in the 60 day fitness challenge, so I thought I would post my progress. In total I have lost 15.6 pounds. I lost 2% body fat (11.3 pounds). I also lost 4 pounds of lean body mass. Not sure if losing lean body mass is good or not, so if anybody has input I would appreciate it. I have been doing alot of walking and the weight loss workouts. Over all I am happy with my weight loss.
    I also did a fitness test last night to check my progress and I am getting stronger. I need to work on my over all core strength. Didn't too well with the prone elbow thinker. Could also work on leg strength a little. I hope everyone else is doing well in their progress.

    I have a question about a workout that I did last night that I hoping to get some feed back on. I did the Weight Loss W.O. last night which consisted of alternating between cable cleans and squat and press w/ cables and then alternating between knee push up and 60 degree chin ups.
    While doing the cable cleans the middle of my back started to get tight and hurt a little. Is this normal because it is working these muscles or is my form and technique wrong. Any input or advice would be appreciated. I have had back problems in the past and don't want to be sidelined. I am overweight with bad posture if that makes a difference.

    I am doing pretty good so far. I am enjoying eating healthier. The recipes I found on the site are great. I only eat meat once a day now and I don't miss it, I thought I would. Weekends are the hardest for me when it comes to following the eating plan. I find keeping the journal is helping me realize what is sabotaging my diet. I need to not take so much liberties with the fun meals. The workouts are getting easier. I try to do a 45 minuye walk every morning and then the weight loss workout in the evening. I am doing pretty good with my workouts. Last week was my first full week of full workouts and I was pretty sore. I am trying to figure out the proper forms for the yoga and some of the workouts. The videos do help.
